COP 26 Glasgow 2021
From Sunday 31st October – Friday 12th
November 14000 people at any one time.
• This will affect the M8, M80, M74 & M77.
• The Clyde side Expressway will be closed at 9 am
from Saturday 23rd October – Monday 15th
November at 6 am.
• M8 roadworks will still be in place. Junction 17
woodside (Viaduct)
•The Clyde Tunnel will be busier than usual. Both
directions from Clyde side / M8 – Queen
Elizabeth
Saturday 6th November
– Mass rally of 100,000
people in the city centre
• Major disruption exp extending to Anniesland,
Maryhill, Cardonald, Pollockshields, Govan,
Dalmarnock
• Monday 1st November is expected to be the
the busiest day from Finneston, Yorkhill and
Kelvingrove (Significant disruption)
Sunday 10th October
Congress road – SEC/
Crowne Plaza will be closed and re-opened on
Wednesday 17th November.
Sunday 24th October Congress Way, Finneston
Quay, Tunnel St, Stobcross Road will all be
closed till Sunday 21st November.
• Finneston St will be closed on Thursday 28th
October till Sunday 15th November (Local access
only from Saturday 23rd October.
